Drywall installation is a key step in creating smooth, durable walls and ceilings for any construction or renovation project.
Bulkheads in drywalling are architectural features used to create recessed or dropped sections of the ceiling, often to conceal structural elements, ductwork, or electrical wiring.
To create a bulkhead in drywalling, start by framing the recessed or dropped section using wood or metal studs to conceal ductwork, wiring, or structural elements. Cover the frame with drywall, securing it firmly, then tape, mud, and sand the seams for a smooth finish. Finally, prime and paint to seamlessly blend the bulkhead into the surrounding design.
For this project, it was based on bulkheads for a ceiling that covers over a pool area
